Miles’ Men

Just wanted to share about a really cool opportunity I got to be a part of this weekend in the middle of the Men’s Conference.

Miles’ Men is a gathering of men with LSU’s head football coach Les Miles and it took place Saturday morning at the Annex. So awesome to see someone that is highly respected in our community taking time to give God thanks for an incredible football season. I had to grab a picture of Pastor Dino and Brother Larry Stockstill praying with Coach Miles, I love seeing men humble enough to take time and thank their Creator!

His championship ring is nice, but I’ve got a much stronger reason to respect Coach Miles!5.jpgimg00176.jpg

Men’s Conference Recap

I have got to give props to the men who came out this weekend. We got tremendous feedback from the men who attended. I couldn’t be prouder of the men involved (over 600!) and the effort of so many who made adjustments Friday night to avoid the weather!

Every session hit the target dead on for out lives. Kevin Mawae’s testimony was heart-felt, Coach McCartney was all passion, Joel A’Bell was challenging, and Pastor Zhenya Kasevich was powerful! I’m so excited about the momentum we have gained this weekend, and even more excited about our men’s bible studies that are kicking off this week! Whether you had a chance to come the conference or not, these bible studies are going to be an incredible time for us to band together as Kingdom Men for the year to come!

I think I’ll sign this one off with my newly acquired “man etiquette” skills from the conference: Love ya… dude!

Here are are few shots from the conference, for more pictures check out the photo section.

**Men’s Conference Update**

Guys, heads up! In an effort to get one step ahead of the weather, we will be moving the venue for TONIGHT ONLY (Friday) to the Annex! We’ll be using both auditoriums so the intensity is going to be kicked into high gear and there will be plenty of space available. It’s going to be an incredible weekend! If you haven’t signed up it’s not too late, Show up and sign up at the door. You don’t want to miss this!

HPC Men’s Conference

menconferece.jpg

I want to take the time right now to challenge all the guys of HPC to man up! I’m not talking about hitting up the gym or adding bigger tires to your truck, I want you all to sign up for the Healing Place Men’s Conference this weekend!

My wife has already personally written a check to sign me up, and imagine my embarrassment when turning in a diva check with leopard print! My integrity as a man was at stake! Don’t let it get to that point for you, sign yourself up today.

Guys, make sure you don’t miss this amazing weekend. The greatest investment we can make as men is into our spiritual development. This will be a weekend packed with world class speakers in a high impact environment. It’s going to be awesome!

Future Generations

img00437.jpgProverbs 27:24 talks about securing the crown for the next generation. When I think about this in the context of HPC, I don’t have to look very far to find people living life “all in” for the next generation. Last night I had a blast speaking to our j-high kids at Pathfinders. 174 students crammed into one room transformed the Annex 2 auditorium into a sweat box! And let me tell you, the environment was hopping! The adrenalin & energy were brought to another level as we raised the roof in worship. I absolutely love their reckless passion for God! I’ve gotta give props to Tyler & Crystal Tullos for their commitment & leadership in raising up the next generation.

img00168.jpgAnother new development in the Haman household is Alexa playing her first season of Upward softball. Her team is the Angels-how appropriate! Alexa was scared she was going to strike out during her first time batting, and I gotta confess- I was nervous watching her in the stands! I told her it was ok to get out–everybody makes an out. Apparently she didn’t need the pep talk at all, she went 3 for 3 & scored 2 runs! Much love to Kerry & team with HPC Athletics for their efforts. This year they have 600+ kids participating on a team! More than just fun for the kids, it is an incredible ministry to kids & families involved.

img00147.jpgI absolutely love how HPC culture is so infused with connecting next generation to Christ. I love being part of a church that kids are crazy about! The HPC Arena is all about our future, and as that building goes up I drove by today thinking “I wonder if T-rev will give his life to Jesus there?” HPC is securing the crown for the next generation! I’m so blessed to be a part!
